If you’ve been in online marketing for longer than about 5 minutes, you’ll realise that traffic (getting visitors to your website) is vital if you’re going to succeed.
The majority of the time, within the world of online marketing, we are overwhelmed by marketers claiming to have the key to getting hundreds and thousands of potential buyers. The truth is far simpler: There is no secret to building visitors. There are several ways of getting good numbers of people to your offer. And article marketing may be one of the very best ways out there.
It works like this:
You write an informative (not promotional) article of about 300-600 words, that ideally contains the words that you want people to associate with your site. These are called your keywords. For example, if you’re in the weight loss niche, you will want to write an article on ‘how to lose weight’ with the words ‘weight loss’ mentioned a couple of times in the course of sentences (don’t just put that word in randomly).
When the article is finished, you need to submit it to one or more of the article directories. Here’s where the traffic getting comes in.
You see, at the end of your article, you have the opportunity to place a couple of links. This goes in a part of the article known as the author resource box. This is where you can promote a related site of yours where people can get more information on the subject.
This is how you generate traffic to your site: You give your readers some good, solid information that will help them. You then make sure that you give your readers a compelling reason to click the link in the resource box and get more help on that issue. As an example, if your article is about keyword research, then you could give the readers the opportunity to get a free copy of your e-book on 10 keyword research methods that have helped get you ranked well. Whichever your offer is, the reason must be one that will make sense to click for the reader.
Crucially, the amount of traffic you get for your website depends upon several factors such as:
* How many articles you write and submit
* How many article directories you submit your article to
* The quality and usefulness of your article
* The quality of the directories you submit to
* The effectiveness of your resource box
The key things to remember are that you should be solving a problem that’s related to your product.
This way, when they see that you know what you’re talking about, they’ll want to know more. You then need that line or two in the resource box to provoke them to take action.
Now of course, a good traffic strategy is made up of several methods of creating a flood of traffic to your site. Article marketing is just one. You can learn 22 killer methods, including a cutting edge technique using YouTube, with Traffic Ultimatum.
