For those bloggers out there that have been working for a year or two now I am sure understand the difficulty of finding quality article titles. If you are like me then you understand the difficulty of constantly thinking of new things to write about. When I get an idea the article is written quickly and easily the problem is constantly thinking of new things to write about. One thing which makes article topics much easier to come up with is generalizing your blogs topic. This is usually quite disputed by those in the niche marketing field, but personally after being able to make money online for years now I have found that when you blog picking a general topic area is key. When I created my make money blog I made sure to leave open many post topic opportunities.
Now I really don’t recommend going general with any type of presence besides a blog because with a blog you can target many long tailed keywords and the general keywords of a niche. To do this all you need to do is pick general high traffic keywords for your main blog title and long tailed keywords for the posts. It is also possible to pick moderate keywords for static web pages on your blog, but if you do this make sure your monetization links are on the static pages.
Thinking about things to write about will be crucial to your blogs continual success. There are certain things I do when trying to get ideas the first being getting out of my environment going somewhere peaceful and enjoyable. This is key for thinking of new ideas, but without some way to record them it won’t help. You need to make sure and take some way to record the ideas and for this I have several ideas as well. Personally for me a pen and paper work great, but this is not the only way. If you have a smart phone then download a note pad ap and record the ideas this way. Another good way to record the ideas is buying a small voice recorder and using it for keeping track of your ideas.
The final thought on keeping ideas in check is rather than only spending time writing spend time just thinking of great blog posts. I keep a file that has over a hundred blog post titles and whenever I can’t think of something to write about all I need to do is open the file copy a post title and paste it in the word processor. This gives me a constant stream of things to write about even when I have hit monstrous writing blocks. Take a day out of your writing schedule and devote it to coming up with new titles for good blog posts. Using these tricks you should be able to keep your blog updated regularly.
