A computer blog is a blog that is suppose to be filled with information on mostly anything dealing with computers. You will find a lot of infomation on computers on the internet, but I have found that the best place to get the info is on a blog on computers. In other words a computer blog is basically an encyclopedia of information. I often search for other computer blogs on things that I might need to know something on how to fix an issue I have. It could be the latest software patches for products like Office or Windows operating system. It could be anything to further my knowledge on computers.
People often visit computer blogs to get an answer to a question or issue that they might have for there computer. If a person is having an issue with a computer, or if a technician such as myself has an issue, the first place we look to is the internet. We go to a search engine and then we go looking for that answer to fix our issues. If you notice. Nine out of ten times you will end up finding your info on a computer blog. Blogs were basically made or invented to share thoughts. Most people that have a blog are basically keeping a journal of the daily lives that they have. You can take it a step further and actually use it to help other people. This is what I do. I operate a blog that I try and use to help people find solutions to the issues that they have.
If you have something to share about and want to help others, then starting a blog is a great way to do it. You can start a free blog at Blogger or you can get an account on Hubpages and write short blogs everyday. A great place to start is at WordPress. It is my favorite and the most useful to use in my opinion. If you get a hosting account with GoDaddy or Host Gator, I believe that you can do a simple install on the hosting plan and it does it all for you so you can have your own domain. If you get a blog at WordPress or Blogger then you will have your domain as a sub domain under there domain. You still can get as much exposure either way. It is just a known fact that if you have your own domain that you can gain more of a following and a loyal readership if you do. It boils down to this. If you were shopping for a computer and you stumbled on a site that sold computer. Would you buy from a whatever.blogspot.com or a actual whatever.com website. The domain name basically instills trust in the person visiting the page. If a person knows that you got a free website to host your business on then they are more likely not to buy from you. They feel like it might be cheap or a scam.
My blog that I have is a Computer Blog and I do have my own domain name. Do I make tons of money and have a large readership? The answer is not yet. I would like to think that one day I will. Most of the time it takes a website about five years to start getting known on the web. Mostly in part because the major search engines will not have you as a n authority on certain keywords because the age of the site is young. So keep all that in mind when you start your own blog or website.
