Really what we all strive for whether it be through the creation of link bait or building links is trying to gain exposure. Now this is not quite like news coverage, but in a way it is close. Now you have millions upon millions if not billions of people online daily and the main transport from one website to another is a hyperlink. So do you think that you should make a couple link exchanges and call it good? I would hope not.

There are several ways which you can gain links all across the internet for this post I am going to cover some of the concepts. Now after visting the blog and looking at all the fantastic places which I list that will help boost your presence and begin building your exposure it is important to understand that it takes years to build a truly successful website and minutes to destroy one so be careful. One thing that I really like to think about when spreading my links across the web is trying to imagine the online world as the real world. Let me give you some examples you know when you start hitting sites and they are all quite similar well that is a neighborhood such as one you would find by driving around where you live. It is also quite like the real world when you hit one of the bad neighborhoods in the real world it is the place where you roll up the windows and try to get out of their before you get shot. Well in the virtual world it is the big Viagra and porn sites which you should leave quickly (though rather than getting shot it would probably be in the form of a virus or Trojan).

Now when you start a business in the real world that is fine, but will people know you are there just because you open? No you will want to do some basic advertising. In the real world a grand opening would usually call for a quick tv ad or radio. In the online world a grand openening will probably result in a press release or a few article submissions nothing to drastic. Whether online or in the real world it will be a struggle and more than likely you will be dumping a ton of time. So you get done with your basic advertising and notice a nice steady stream of traffic it is time to choose your next steps. If your in the real world it will be opening a new store or revising your marketing and really get in touch with your audience the same goes for online. Remember our store fronts online are the web presences which we create so if you notice your first is doing quite well such as my first website make money free then it will be time to begin another. One of the great things with business online is unlike the real world when we open a new store there is very little if any upfront cost.

Now revising a marketing campaign online is going to consist of finding new and ever better places where your site and its hyperlinks will fit in nicely. As a webmaster/blogger you should always be on the look out for any changes online especially when it comes to Google and be willing to adapt and grow your marketing techniques. This will be the deciding factor mixed with a little persistence.

To sum up when you own an online business it is mandatory, crucial, or whatever term you need to get you out across the web and be building other online pages, articles, links, and/or anything else you can think about.
