Getting Traffic To Your Website

Getting traffic to your web address is much more of a challenge than one would think. By using google’s search engine, it almost cuts your time in half that you would normally spend not using it. The first priority that you want to accomplish is to submit your site to google and let their bot crawl your uniform resource locator. Then you want to go and submit to all the free major and minor directorys that you can. I submitted this website and it receives a little traffic from them, but like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

When you add your url to the directory’s, make sure to look and find the category that best suits your business. I would say that if you were making your members money instead of a site that was selling products, it would be more of a place people would want to go. But I do agree that online shopping is a lot more convenient than going to the actual store. So as
i’m putting in my website address and filling out all the information they are asking for, I see near the bottom of the page that their asking for a reciprocal link. I didnt know the meaning of this word like maybe some of you reading this. I go to look it up and it means that they want a link back to their site in exchange for them putting your link on their site.

Then you want to go different places that advertises banners or your weblink. Some get lucky and get a lot of traffic, but it all depends on where, how much, and how many people is on these websites. A good way to check and make sure there are a great number of members, is using the alexa tool bar. Websites you go to will show you the position, related links, traffic
rank and even more content is available for you to evaluate further. Going to forums that may involve the business you run can help get backlinks to your site. Backlinks are a good way to get some easy traffic and may even get you a few members.

There are many places that will sell you one way backlinks, but most of them are just trying make some easy money and not really concerned if your site gets taken care of or not, so be careful which ones you choose. Then there are suring sites, paid to click, paid to signup that you can advertise with. I have personally used these types of business’ to advertise and find them somewhat useful but reluctantly predictable.

I use google analytics to keep track of my traffic. Time spent on, how many pages per visit, how many page views it’s getting each day. I advertise the main page and the register page. Splash pages are a good form of letting people see your site to.

Using all of the social media sites is a real good way of letting people check out your weblink. I know internet advertising is all about traffic, the more
there is, the more you’ll get. It’s like going to a baseball game and no-ones there. So I say feel free to look around and stay awhile, if you stay long enough you just might find what your lookin for.
